Freed Up—Financial Living with Joey Parker

This track pairs sound financial knowledge with biblical principles of money management, guiding participants to develop a personal spending plan that reflects both in a healthy, balanced way. They explore what the Bible and the culture say about the five financial areas of life (earning, giving, saving, debt and spending).

The Arts & Psalms with Vickie McPeters

Psalms is a collection of songs and prayers that expresses the heart and soul of humanity. We can see the beauty and creativity of God, the “Master Artist”, as we study this beautiful book. This 8-week study will also focus on the creativity of some of our own fellow believers. Each week, we will spotlight a guest artist, featuring poetry, music, painting, photography and more.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

1st and 3rd Thurs. mornings of the month  |  9 a.m.  |  Belinda Campus, Room 207

Do you knit or crochet? Do you want to learn to knit or crochet? Come join a group making prayer shawls to be delivered to folks who need a little extra love as they recuperate from illness and injury.

Are you interested in becoming involved in a different type of small group, one in which you build relationships, trust, and have sacred companions with whom to share your faith journey?

Sundays: Men’s Group, 9:30 a.m. meets around worship hours at various community locations
Tuesdays: Couples, 6: 30 p.m., every other Tuesday at various residences

Sunday Opportunities

GriefShare with Becky Riney & Bill Pridemore

Sundays beginning Sept. 10 |  4 – 6 p.m.  |  Belinda Campus, Room 109

GriefShare is a grief support group that meets weekly. It is a 13-week program to offer help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. Topics include Is This Normal?, The Journey of Grief, Grief and Your Relationships, Guilt and Anger, Lessons of Grief etc. It is a nondenominational program to offer support on your grief journey toward healing and hope for the future. The sessions include a video with information from grief recovery experts, small group discussion and a workbook for personal reflections. Cost of workbook is $15 but scholarships are available.

 

Emmaus: A Journey of Love and Grace

Would you like a 3-day journey soaking up the love and grace of Jesus Christ?  Emmaus is a 3-day retreat which sets aside time in our busy lives to spend with Jesus.  Join us for the next Emmaus walks in 2017. The men’s walk will be Oct. 19-22, 2017. The women’s walk is Nov. 2-5, 2017.
